“Sense of Place”とは「場所の感覚」を意味する。
地理学者Y・トゥアン曰く「最初はまだ不分明な空間でも、それを知って価値を与えていくことで次第に場所になっていく」。個々のアイデンティティから、ただの場所が特別な場所になっていく。
記憶と場所というものは相互作用がある。ゆえに場所とは個々の感覚において断片化されているではないだろうか。
